Nick Youssef is an American comedian, writer, and actor based in Los Angeles, California. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, his parents moved his family to America during the Lebanese civil war. His family is Christian. Nick grew up in Los Angeles where he began his stand-up career at the age of eighteen years old, with The Comedy Store as his home club.[1] Nick was also a participating guest comic in The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour which began November 11, 2005, and organized by comedian Ahmed Ahmed. The tour featured comedians battling post 9-11 prejudices and focused on current events and stereotyping.[2][3] In 2020, Nick participated in a comedy tour following the band Tool's Fear Inoculum tour with comedians Rory Scovel and Freddy Scott. The tour was aptly named "The Comedians Following Tool on Tour: The Tour", which spanned from January 11 to January 30, 2020, and performed in cities such as San Diego, Phoenix, Houston, Atlanta, Memphis and more.[4]

Nick has released two full length comedy audio albums and one taped video comedy special to date. The first, "Stop Not Owning This", was released in August of 2014 with All Things Records and debuted in the top 5 of the iTunes comedy charts.[5] In 2018, his album "1982" became available in multiple formats. The album features 22 tracks and covers a wide range of topics from cycling to coffee to addiction and more. [6] His first taped stand-up special "Take Care" was a completely crowd-funded project which was recorded and released for free on his YouTube channel in February of 2023. [7]

Nick hosts his podcast According To Nick Youssef, or ATNY for short, which offers insightful commentary on topics like music, coffee, cycling, depression, addiction, comedy, fashion, and more. Duncan Trussell, Nikki Glaser, Charles Adams, Jayson Thibault, and J.F. Harris have appeared as guests on the ATNY Podcast.[8]

Nick Youssef has also contributed as a guest on several widely available podcasts, such as The Joe Rogan Experience, WTF with Marc Maron Podcast, Ari Shaffir's Skeptic Tank, Punch Drunk Sports, Duncan Trussell's Family Hour, and more. He was also interviewed by Buzzfeed about the 20th Anniversary of Los Angeles's biggest earthquake.[9] [10] [11] [12]

Nick also appeared in Episode 25 of Season 14 for the television series Last Call with Carson Daly, which aired November 10, 2014.[13] He has also appeared in the Funny or Die Production, @midnight, alongside comedians Whitney Cummings and Josh McDermitt and hosted by Chris Hardwick, in an episode which aired March 14, 2016. Aside from his comedy career, Nick is known to be an advocate for fashion sense and overall style. He was interviewed and featured in Esquire Magazine, being recognized as the "Most Stylish Comedian" in 2015. [15]
