Nick Underhill (born October 24, 1984) is an American sportswriter located in New Orleans and founder of NewOrleans.Football[1], a website focused on coverage of the New Orleans Saints of the NFL.

Career

Underhill grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania. His first job was covering the Erie Seawolves for Scout.com. He then began covering the New England Patriots in 2010 for MassLive.com. Underhill left that job to begin covering the New Orleans Saints for The New Orleans Advocate[2]. In 2019, Underhill won an Associated Press Sports Editors' first-place award for a story in which he analyzed all 7,458 passes Drew Brees had thrown as quarterback of the New Orleans Saints[3]. Underhill was also named the Louisiana sportswriter of the year in 2018[4]. Underhill left The Advocate in March 2019 to begin covering the New England Patriots for The Athletic [5]. Underhill left The Athletic in February 2020 to launch NewOrleans.Football [6].
