Broadcasting career
While attending Vanderbilt University[2], Gallo interned as a Production Assistant for The McLaughlin Group during the summer of 2008. In this role, he researched topics[3], wrote issue scripts, and assisted with pre-show preparations for panelists on a syndicated political talk show that aired on CBS and PBS. After graduating, Gallo worked as a Media Relations Intern for the Tennessee Titans from July 2008 to January 2010. He conducted player interviews, wrote daily articles for the team’s official website, and supported game-day operations and press conferences.
From June 2010 to January 2012, Gallo was a Publications Intern and Media Relations Graduate Assistant for the New York Jets, where he produced written content for the team’s website, season preview book, and weekly publications. He also managed media credentials, compiled game notes, and facilitated interviews with players.
Oklahoma City Thunder (2012–present)
Nick Gallo joined the Oklahoma City Thunder organization in January 2012[4]as a Digital Content Reporter, producing written features, player interviews, and multimedia content for the team’s official digital platforms[5][6][7]. In September 2019, he was promoted to Broadcast Reporter and Digital Editor, assuming on-camera responsibilities as the sideline reporter for Thunder game broadcasts on Bally Sports Oklahoma which would later be rebranded to FanDuel Sports Network Oklahoma.

He also co-hosts the Thunder Basketball Universe podcast, produces content for the OKC Thunder Films series, and creates written and video features for okcthunder.com. Through his work across multiple platforms, Gallo helps connect fans to the team’s stories both on and off the court. Since 2024, Gallo has become known for his postgame interviews with Thunder players, during which the players often attempt to break his composure by stacking towels on his head, draping jackets on him, putting him in jerseys, and customizing his appearance in other ways. Gallo typically continues with his questions during these interviews.[8]
