Neerja Birla (born 15 April, 1971)[1] is the founder of the Aditya Birla Education Trust.
Early life and education
She did her schooling at the Villa Theresa High School in Mumbai and went to the Sophia College for Women in Mumbai. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Psychology.[2][3][4]
Personal life
Neerja Birla is married to Kumar Mangalam Birla,[5] the Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group.They have three children: businesswoman Ananya Birla, businessman Aryaman Birla,[6] and Advaitesha Birla,[7] the Founder of Ujaas.[8][9]
Career
Neerja Birla is the Founder & Chairperson of the Aditya Birla Education Trust[10], a social enterprise committed to the Spirit of Service[11]. She has established verticles in the field of mental health, education and women’s empowerment which include the Aditya Birla World Academy [12], The Aditya Birla Integrated School, Mpower[13], the Aditya Birla Education Academy[14], Ujaas[15]and Nalanda Aditya Birla Education Trust[16].
