Neeraj Ashok Sharma (born 1978) is an Indian Entrepreneur and the Honorary Consul General of The Republic of Palau to India. He was awarded "Strategist of the Year 2022- Creating Strategic International Opportunities by the Diplomatist, in 2022.[1]
Early life
Neeraj Ashok Sharma was born in 1978 in a middle class Hindu Brahmin family in Delhi, New Delhi.[2]
Career
Neeraj Ashok Sharma started his professional career working for Imperial Auto Industries as a Marketing Officer in Faridabad, Haryana, in 2001. In 1985, Neeraj's father, Ashok Sharma, founded a bus coach designing and building business Sunshine Coach Builders Private Limited. The company pioneered automotive coach design and building sector in India at the time. In 1991 the family founded another company Harsha Wheel Movers Private Limited, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Neeraj Ashok Sharma joined Harsha Wheel Movers Private Limited in 2001 as its Chief Executive Officer.
Soon Neeraj Sharma steered the company in a new direction. The company delivered it's first bus to then President of Amarnath Co-Operative Bank Limited and Rajya Sabha member Shri K Rahman Khan on the 20th January 2001.
He was appointed as the Advisor for Krupanidhi School of Management in 2021. The role was bestowed to him for his strong contribution to education and programs aimed at providing quality education to underprivileged children.
In the memory of his mother Late. Shri Chander Prabha, he started a NGO Chander Prabha Foundation and Trust for the underprivileged children. He is currently serving as its Founder and Trustee.
As a true visionary leader, he is looked upon by many as a guide and philiospher whose presence vibrates positivity, fondly known as "Guru" in the entrepreneur circles. He strongly believes that professional education has to move out of the conventional classrooms and should be practiced on the job floor.
Neeraj Sharma was appointed as the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Palau to India. His role as the representative of the Palauan government in India, he has promoted trade and cultural relations between the two nations. His work to strengthen the bilateral relationship has played a key role in promoting investment and tourism opportunities in Palau and has been instrumental in organizing cultural events to showcase the rich heritage of Palau to the people of India. One of his diplomatic missions also includes environmental conservation projects and has been working towards creating a sustainable future for the planet. In his tenure the bilateral & friendly relations between India & Palau have become better than before. Under the leadership and vision the President of The Republic of Palau, His Excellency Surangel Whipps Jr., Neeraj Ashok Sharma is striving to make Palau the Knowledge and Technology gateway to the Oceania.
