Needar is a small village of 3056 hectares in Mandrail Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Needar depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 123.74% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Needar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Needar's pin code is 322251[4], and village code is 01239600. The area of Needar is segregated as 123.74 hectares irrigated area, 383.26 hectares unirrigated, the 388.33 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 116.64 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Needar is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2566 and has total administration over 504 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Karauli to sell earthen pots and make their living.
