Nazia Andaleeb Preema is a renowned visual artist, activist, performer, and entrepreneur of Bangladesh, centering predominantly on diverse creativity through visual arts and leadership. She commenced Women in Leadership (WIL) in 2014[1] as the organization’s president.

Early life and education

Andaleeb was born in 1974 in Bangladesh. She graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Dhaka in 1998. She completed her post-graduation in Fine Art (Drawing and Painting) from the same institute in 2000. In addition, she obtained a diploma (7 years/1990-1997) in Classical music|Classical Music and Tagore Songs from Chhayanaut in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

She did a fellowship at Global Arts Village, New Delhi, in 2005. Andaleeb, at the age of 14, completed a five years of dance (Classical/Bharatanatyam) degree from the Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA).

Career

Andaleeb formed her art and design house, Preema’s Atelier, in 1999. Her creative masterpieces (painting, graphic design, web design, animation) are derived There.

Although a renowned artist in the country, she was a visiting faculty of the Department of Architecture (Art Appreciation) at North South University from 2007 to 2010. She was the Portal Chief of the Bangladesh info news [2]portal from ( 2000 to 2004).

She also acted as Adviser at the commemoration and Director/Creative Editor of the Bangladesh Brand Forum[3] from 2006 to 2020.

Publications and portfolio

‘Preema Donna – An Infinite Journey (2020)[4], a book by Nazia Andaleeb Preema, was launched on December 22, 2019. The book was published and produced by Cosmos Books and had five chapters: Conflict, Wonder, Courage, Vision, and Connection. The book demonstrates Preema’s artistic journey over the last two decades (1995-2019).

“Staring Women”(2009) – A four-color portfolio published by The Bengal Foundation to celebrate Preema’s 12 solo expositions at the Bengal Shilpalaya, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
