Navneet S. Chugh is an attorney and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
He is Managing Partner and founder of Chugh, LLP, a law firm based in Cerritos, California. The firm has offices in multiple countries.
Early Life
Chugh was born in Nagpur, India to a Punjabi Sikh family. He earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at Nagpur University in India. In 1981, Chugh moved to the United States with his mother to earn his second bachelor’s degree. His father later joined them after selling his retirement home in Punjab, which helped Chugh pay for his college tuition in the US.
Education
In 1983, Chugh earned a bachelor’s degree in business from West Coast University . He then went on to graduate from University of Southern California (USC) with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1985. In 1992, Chugh received a Juris Doctor (JD) from Western State School of Law on a full-ride scholarship .
Career
In 1985, Chugh founded accounting firm Chugh CPAs, LLP in Cerritos, CA . The firm began by providing accounting services to medical practices, and then expanded to serve a wide range of companies in industries.
In 1992, Navneet S. Chugh founded Chugh, LLP, which offered immigration, litigation, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), employment, tax, and bankruptcy law services .
Chugh is involved in several nonprofit organizations that promote career growth for Indian professionals, which include the American Indian Foundation and The Indus Entrepreneurs. He launched the International Indian Bar Association which has a network of 600,000 Indian lawyers worldwide.
Personal Life
Chugh lives in California with his wife and 2 children. He was formerly chaired, by former U.S. President Bill Clinton, a board member of the American India Foundation by, an entity that donates millions of dollars to Indian charities.
