Navid Ghasemi born on August 26,1991 in Tehran, Iran is a Professional freestyle Iranian BMX Racer. A competitor at the 2018 Chuncheon World Championship and ranked 11th at Asian BMX continental Championship on 26 Oct 2019[1] in Jakarta, Indonesia. He also participated as a trainee in the 2nd camp of the 2018 World Cycling Centre Korea Satellite[2] [3] [4] [5]
BMX Career
He started his sport life, when he was 8 years old with gymnastics and continued in this field for two years, at the age of 10, he turned to judo and found he had a real talent for the sport and won 20 colored medals, including gold,silver and bronze. after 2 years he began riding along with judo. he started with dirt jumping, trials and downhill cycling and eventually his focus shifted to BMX riding for his career. besides doing gymnastics, judo and riding, he experienced parkour, skateboarding and skiing and gained some progress in these fields too. Navid Ghasemi chose to put college on hold and pursued BMX riding following international trips to do BMX competitions. Ghasemi won gold and silver medals in five national freestyle competitions. and in 2019 won the national championship. Soon after, Navid was sent to South Korea and received his international coaching degree from South Korea's WCCKS[6][7] and a few months later, he was invited to participate in the 2018 World Championships [8] in Changchun, where he was unable to win a national award due to a broken bicycle.
Television Career
Navid Ghasemi started his artistic and television career on IRIB Nasim. He first appeared in Khandevane TV show and then in Chand daraje Tv show. He also appeared in the Adrenaline movie which was made for the Iranian Youth Cinema Association. He appeared as a stunt performer on Raghse rooye shishe and a parkour performer [9] in Asheghane series. Navid Ghasemi was one of the participants in the Iranian talent show Asre Jadid [10] on IRIB TV3 the iranian national channel in 2019 and was one of the finalist of this show.
