Oluwaseun Oshunniyi (known professionally as Nathaniel Ozuski)[1] is a British multimedia artist from Watford whose work blends music, digital art, narrative design, and performance. Known for his thematic use of identity, transformation, and self-reinvention, Ozuski frequently incorporates symbolic or fantastical language when describing his life and creative process.
Biography
Early Life
He was born in Watford and spent part of his childhood in Ealing[citation needed]. In later interviews and writings, he described this period as a formative “fusion” of environments and identities; navigating multiple cultural and social influences at once. He often referred to his early sense of self as “fragmented,” a theme that later appeared in his creative work.[2][3]
Exploration of Identity and Productivity
During adolescence and early adulthood, he developed a reputation for productivity across various artistic mediums. In his autobiography he describes “cloning” himself; to overextension; multitasking; and attempting to maintain multiple artistic or personal roles simultaneously.[2][3]. He later stated that this period left him unclear about his real priorities and sense of self[2]
This evolved into what he later called “automation,” referring to a period where he relied heavily on routines, systems, and disciplined habits to manage his creative workload.[2]
Music and Artistic Development
His transition into music and production marked a major shift in his creative identity. His early sound was shaped by trap percussion, bass-heavy atmospheres, and experimental rhythm structures. This phase represented his emergence as an artist recognized for music.[4][5][6]
Creative Leadership and Collaborative Work
His later career involved significant collaborative projects, which he metaphorically frames as “councils” or “boardrooms”; referring to teams of artists, producers, advisers, and collaborators he worked with across multimedia ventures. Through these collaborations, he shifted from being an individual creator to taking on roles involving organization, direction, and project leadership. He has stated that this stage marked a maturing sense of responsibility in both his personal and professional life.[citation needed] It is during this period he became more politically active[3], operating as a unitary council member of the Watford Liberal Democrat party
