Narat is a small village of 527 hectares in Buhana Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Narat depends on SURAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 194.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Narat is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Narat's pin code is 333502[4], and village code is 00717400. The area of Narat is segregated as 194 hectares irrigated area, 288 hectares unirrigated, the 38 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 7.32 hectare area not available for cultivation.
