Dr. Nancy Elizabeth Bedford is currently the Georgia Harkness Professor of Theology at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. Born in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, Bedford later received her Doctorate in Theology from the University of Tübingen, Germany, in 1994.

Prior to joining the faculty at Garrett-Evangelical, Bedford taught theology in Buenos Aires at both Instituto Universitario ISEDET and Seminario Internacional Teológico Bautista from 1995-2002. Bedford joined the Faculty at Garrett-Evangelical in 2003 where she was named the Georgia Harkness Professor of Theology.

A prolific writer, Bedford has written and edited over ten books, as well as over 90 chapters in book anthologies and journal articles. Her publications have appeared in five different languages.
