Nagawan is a small village of 118 hectares in Nizamabad Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nagawan depends on Nizamabad (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Nagawan's pin code is 276305[4], and village code is 08763500. The area of Nagawan is segregated as 81 hectares irrigated area, 1 hectares unirrigated area. the 11 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nizamabad (NP) and Azamgarh to sell twine and make their living.
