Nadula Hainane, known as Meekulu Nadula is a Namibian Actor, often featured in many local films, stage productions and in one of the German film..[1]
Early life and family
Nadula was named after her grandmother, that's why she's known as Meekulu Nadula.[2] She was staying with her father who was a substitute pastor and her mother who was a Sunday school teacher. This made her to start acting in plays that were based on Bible stories at church at her younger ages. The family later moved to Windhoek and Nadula started visiting the College of Arts and Sciences|College of Arts in her free will and time. That's how she started to spott Audition|auditions on notice boards within town and she then begun attending live theatre productions. Hainane did her first Theatre|stage productions at the National Theatre of Namibia, and later at the Warehouse Theatre and other theatres country wide.
Acting roles
Meekulu Nadula started her acting on the radio drama 'Desert Soul' whereby she played Fran, a tuberculosis patient. The next role in which she acted was the German film titled "Follow Your Heart' in which she played as a nurse treating injured civilians and soldiers during a war. She again played as a nurse in 'Kapana' which is presently being introduced internationally.
Acting awards
Meekulu Nadula won the award for best upcoming actress in Africa for her role as a humble nurse in the local Television series titled 'Third Will' and Namibian feature film 'Kapana'[3][4]. Nadula was one of the Namibia|Namibian talents who won awards at the Zikomo Humanitarian Fashion and Music Awards in Lusaka, Zambia in March 2020[5]
Achievements
Hainane's biggest achievement was being recognized and selected as the best upcoming actress at the Zikomo awards. Nadula is presently a brand ambassador for Zikomo Africa awards. Meekulu Nadula was appointed a coordinator for Afro International film and TV Market Festival Ltd which focuses on films, musics and other arts of African origin[6]Another achievement Nadula holds is launching her own marketing agency called Wildfire[7]
Future plans
Meekulu Nadula is just not an actress. She is currently working on becoming a scriptwriter and film director.[8]
