Ignacio “Nacho” Eduardo Aguirre Martínez (born June 19th, 1969) is an Mexican born American tv celebrity, chef and Chocolatier who co-owns with his wife Susana Mijares Delice Chocolatier & Patisserie, San Antonio and created the concept for Delice Chocolatier & Patisserie, Mexico . known for winning the Spring Baking Championship season 4 and participating in various television series on the Food Network.

Early Life

Nacho Aguirre was born Ignacio Eduardo Aguirre Martínez on June 19,1969, Torreón Coahuila, Mexico the son of Laura Martinez De Aguirre and Javier Aguirre. He grew up in!Torreon !a northern part of Mexico. He obtained a Backelor´s Degree in Computing at the Iberoamerican University of Torreón.

Career

Early career

he graduated in 1992 with honors and started working for the State of Durango's Government developing computer systems for Housing projects and Social developments.In 1994 he was the Director of Operations at Sirloin Stockade Restaurants and started in the restaurant business with the opening of the first international franchised restaurant concept in Torreón,

Delice Chocolatier & Patisserie

In 1998 the owner of the original delice de flandes chocolatier in Torreón offer the business to Susana and Nacho as she was going back to Belgium from there Susana Mijares started to experiment with different recipes that would complement and elevate the flavors of the Belgian chocolate.

Susana graduated with Le Grand Diplome from Le Cordon Bleu Paris, France in the summer of 1993 Baking had always been a passion for Susana and so they decided to open their first store in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico in 1999. Later they migrated to the U.S. and opened a second Delice Bakery in San Antonio Texas, and have been working together in making delicious cakes, pastries and chocolates ever since.

Spring Baking Championship

Nachos wife Susana and eight of America's best bakers competed over the course of seven episodes of the Spring! Baking Championship Season 2. Their skills and techniques where tested throughout the season with a series of spring themed challenges that put to the test the bakers to make everything from Easter confections to Derby desserts and patriotic goodies. Susana mastered several

trials and won the naked cake challenge at the end she made it to the final show to become one of two runners up. After Susana experience in Season 2 It was Nacho's turn in Season 4 it featured the most bakers yet with 10 contestants (including a baker from Canada) competing in an 8-episode baking tournament for a chance at $50,000. Ali Kahn took over the hosting duties after some close calls and

winning two challenges that included thespring pattern roll cakes Nacho managed to move to the final show and with a beautiful and delicious geode cake, Nacho won the Spring Baking Championship.

Nacho has appeared in various TV shows including Girl Scout Cookie Championship & Big Time Bake among others.

Personal Life

Nacho met his wife Susana when at a friend's birthday party back in 1991. The couple married in April 1994. They have been living in San Antonio Texas, with their children, Renata, Iñaki, Rosario, Regina & Emilio since 2010.
