N8 Studios is an independent film production and distribution company, founded in 2022, by Kris Eiamsakulrat and Rachel Wu. The company is based in New York City, US and Bangkok, Thailand.
The studio is known for working with critically-acclaimed Asian filmmakers, including Emmy-Award winning director Pailin Wedel.[1], Academy-Award nominated director Pawo Dorji[2], and Shutter and The Stranded director Sophon Sakdapisit.
In May 2023, N8 Studios formed a partnership with EST Studios[3][4][5][6] to represent a slate of Asian films at global markets including the Marche du Film at Cannes. N8 Studios' first feature co-production with GDH, Home For Rent (2023) topped local box office for three consecutive weeks, and is currently being widely released across most territories in Asia, and North and South America[7][8][9]
In September 2023, The Monk and The Gun, a film N8 Studios co-produced, premiered at TIFF as the Official Selection.[10] The film was also submitted by Bhutan for Oscars Best International Feature.[11]
