Murla is a small village of 466 hectares in Kapasan Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Murla depends on Kapasan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 32.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Murla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Murla's pin code is 312205[4], and village code is 03632900. The area of Murla is segregated as 102.22 hectares irrigated area, 219.8 hectares unirrigated, the 59.64 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 84.82 hectare area not available for cultivation.
