Munnar Catering College(MCC), is a self financing hotel management college in kerala, India established by Thachankary Foundation.


MCC is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education|AICTE[1], Government of India, and Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala. The college is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology| NCHMCT[2], under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.


Main campus

MCC is located in Thachankary hills, SuryaNelli, Munnar. Fort Munnar, a hill station resort is situated close by. MCC has a well equipped campus with separate hostel facility for boys and girls.

UAE Campus

MCC also has a campus at RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE which offers various Hotel Management courses.

Programmes Offered at MCC

MCC offers B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, B.A. in Tourism Studies, Diploma in Hotel Management and Technology, Higher Diploma in International Hotel Management, Graduate Diploma in International Hotel Management and Tourism, B.A in Global Tourism Management as well as B.A in International Hotel Management.

Academic Collaborations

Royal Roads University

MCC has a 4 years Twinning Programme in collaboration with Royal Roads University[3] where the students can study the first two years in Munnar or UAE campus and the remaining two years in Canada.


MCC was awarded[4] the best Hotel Management and tourism Institute of Kerala.
