Mulgao is a small village of 758 hectares in Bicholim Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mulgao depends on BICHOLIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mulgao is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Mulgao's pin code is 403503[5], and village code is 00009200. The area of Mulgao is segregated as 76.01 hectares irrigated area, 325.77 hectares unirrigated, the 69.72 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 286.89 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mulgao has One post office (Mulgao B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Mulgao has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Mulgao is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 3892 and has total administration over 926 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BICHOLIM and North Goa to sell soft drink and make their living.
