Muhammad Ahsan Tahir[1] [2] [3] is a Pakistani entrepreneur and software professional. He is the founder and CEO of Walee Technologies [4], a company offering influencer marketing and digital media services in Pakistan and the broader MENAPT region.
Education
Ahsan studied software engineering at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), graduating from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences in 2014.[5] He later attended short programs at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi and the National Defence University. Ahsan also obtained certifications related to blockchain technologies through IBM in Dubai.
Career
Ahsan began his career as a software developer at Alcatel-Lucent,[6] He subsequently worked with Ovex Technologies and later joined Techlets, serving as the company's CEO from 2015 to 2017.[7]
In 2022, Walee acquired the UAE-based marketing platform Mirrorr.com to expand its presence in influencer marketing.[8]
In January 2024, Walee assumed operational management of SnackVideo Pakistan following a strategic agreement.[9] [10][11]
In 2025, Walee launched a streaming platform that hosted the Pakistan Super League (PSL X), reportedly reaching an audience of over 75 million users.[12]
Tahir has also contributed to financial technology initiatives. He was associated with the launch of Hakeem, an application focused on Islamic nano-finance, intended to provide interest-free financial solutions in Pakistan.[13]
Recognition
In 2023, Walee received the "Most Innovative Use of Technology" award at the Pakistan Digital Awards.[14]
Media & Public Engagement
Ahsan appeared on *DK Live* in December 2024, where he discussed his career in technology and entrepreneurship.[15]. Ahsan has publicly discussed topics related to transparency in digital advertising and the challenges posed by misinformation on social media platforms.[16]
