Mr. Husband is an American Indie Rock band with elements of Psychedelic pop, Surf Music, Classic Country, and R&B. Based in Frederick, Maryland, they are currently signed to PIAPTK Records.

Kenny Tompkins (Born November 29th, 1981) is the lead vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and producer. Brother Curt Tompkins plays bass and contributes backing vocals. Drummer Chris Morris has also played in the well-known indie-folk band Cotton Jones. Guitarist/Vocalist Adam Laye is also known for his involvement in experimental music in Baltimore, Maryland.

Plaid On Plaid

On May 5th, 2017 the band released their first LP, Plaid On Plaid, through indie label Yellow K Records. It was described by Stereogum as "sounds like Brian Wilson refracting through Animal Collective and boomeranging back to the '60s, leaving behind sonic contrails in its wake."[1]

Hey Sufjan, You Took Too Long So I Went Ahead And Made West Virginia

On September 11, 2020 the band released the short LP, Hey Sufjan, You Took Too Long So I Went Ahead And Made West Virginia, through indie label Yellow K Records. The title made direct reference to the 50 States Project by Sufjan Stevens. The album was featured in both Stereogum and Pitchfork[2][3]
