Moshe Hod (born September 23, 1949) is an Israeli physician and academic specializing in obstetrics and maternal–fetal medicine. He is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tel Aviv University and serves as Director of the Maternal–Fetal Medicine Division at Rabin Medical Center.

Early life and education

Moshe Hod was born in Russia and immigrated to Israel as a child. He spent his early childhood near Rabin Medical Center, where his mother worked as an internist. He studied at the Military School, Reali School in Haifa, and graduated from Geula High School in Tel Aviv. After military service in Unit 8200, Hod pursued medical studies at the University of Padova (1971–1974) and the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (1974–1977).

Career

Hod joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rabin Medical Center in 1979. He completed his residency in 1985 and undertook advanced training in perinatology, including fellowships at Hammersmith Hospital in London and Northwestern University in Chicago under the mentorship of Professor Norbert Freinkel. In 1996, he was appointed Director of the Maternal–Fetal Medicine Division at Rabin Medical Center.
