Morlem is a small village of 972 hectares in Satari Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Morlem depends on SANQUELIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Morlem is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Morlem's pin code is 403505[5], and village code is 00012900. The area of Morlem is segregated as 8.17 hectares irrigated area, 526.45 hectares unirrigated, the 6.61 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 155.31 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Morlem has One post office (Morlem B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Morlem has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Morlem is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 3290 and has total administration over 762 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANQUELIM and North Goa to sell sugarcane and make their living.
