Morani is a small village of 3756 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Morani depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Morani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Morani's pin code is 345021[4], and village code is 02052100. The area of Morani is segregated as 1188 hectares unirrigated, the 139 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 2428.55 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Morani is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1180 and has total administration over 195 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell ghee and make their living.
