Moorda is a small village of 1422 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Moorda depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 52.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Moorda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Moorda's pin code is 313327[4], and village code is 02994300. The area of Moorda is segregated as 52 hectares irrigated area, 450 hectares unirrigated, the 504 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 416.06 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of AMET and Rajsamand to sell ghee and make their living.
