Moolsagar is a small village of 2104 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Moolsagar depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 1.78% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Moolsagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Moolsagar's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02036600. The area of Moolsagar is segregated as 1.78 hectares irrigated area, 166.46 hectares unirrigated, the 153.37 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1782.75 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Moolsagar is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 526 and has total administration over 105 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
