Moolana is a small village of 9384 hectares in Fatehgarh Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Moolana depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Moolana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Moolana's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02067400. The area of Moolana is segregated as 1398 hectares unirrigated, the 7823 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 163 hectare area not available for cultivation.
