Montgomery College (MC) is a public community college in Montgomery County, Maryland, that offers associate degrees and certificates. Montgomery Junior College was formally established in 1946 and was given this name since it is situated in Montgomery County. Montgomery College can trace its origins back to the Bliss Electrical School, which opened its doors on October 15, 1893, marking the institution's founding. After being acquired by the present institution in 1950, Bliss continued to operate as the electrical programme for the school.

Rockville College is comprised of three sites, the biggest of which is the main campus in Rockville. There are also two additional locations, in Takoma Park/Silver Spring and Germantown. Business Training Center in Gaithersburg as well as Westfield South in Wheaton are among the college's off-campus locations, which are both run by the college's Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division, respectively.
