Mohangarh is a small village of 68998 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mohangarh depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mohangarh is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Mohangarh's pin code is 345033[4], and village code is 02023000. The area of Mohangarh is segregated as 40000 hectares irrigated area, 8998 hectares unirrigated, the 5000 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 10000 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell pot and make their living.
