Mohammed Sani Abubakar (born 11 May 1977), popularly known as MS Abubakar, is a Nigerian Entrepreneur, columnist, and expert in Counter Terrorism and Humanitarian affairs.Abubakar is a member of prestigious think tanks, including the Chatham House and the Institute of Directors, United Kingdom. His expertise in anti-terrorism is underscored by his certification as a Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist.Throughout his career, Abubakar has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic thinking, driving initiatives to combat terrorism and promote national security. His contributions to Nigeria's security efforts have earned him recognition as a respected voice in the field.[1] [2] [3][4]
Background
Abubakar was born in Maiduguri, Nigeria, to parents from Damare, Jimeta Yola, Adamawa State. He earned a Higher National Diploma in Business Management from Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, and a BSc in Information Technology from Aldersgate University, Solano (2004). He holds multiple master's degrees: Education (City University, Colombo), International Affairs and Defence Studies (Ahmadu Bello University, 2023), and Metaphysics (University of Metaphysics). He has PhDs in Comparative Religion (University of Metaphysics), Military Studies (University of Abuja), and Education (University of Pacific). He is pursuing another doctorate in Business Administration (Westford University College, Dubai).[5] [6]
Career
Abubakar worked as a teacher and researcher with the Peoples of Nigeria Project (2010-2014, funded by Federal Inland Revenue Service), and founded Northeast Star magazine (2014) OurNigeria News (2019). He received the Youth Enterprise with Innovation (YouWiN) grant (2011) and a $40,000 grant from the World Bank-supported GEMS business competition. He is senior partner, Elbroco International Security Company, founder and chairman, Ellakkawi Brothers and Co Ltd. secretary, board of trustees, Kalthum Foundation for Peace.[7] Vice chairman, board of trustees, TY Buratai Literary Initiative.[8] Special adviser to former chief of Army Staff, Lt.
