Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi, (born 21st April 1968) is the current Minister of State,Science and Technology. A Nigerian politician and Lawyer currently serving as Minister of State, Ministry of Science and TechnologyFederal Republic of Nigeria. Before entering politics ,he was a trained lawyer from Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto.[1]

Biography

Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi was born on 21st April 1968 in Karu LGA Nasarawa State,North Central Nigeria. He attended Central Primary School Uke (1973-1979) and proceeded to Government Secondary School Uke (1979-1984) . He received a bachelor's degree in Law from Usman Dan Fodio University in Sokoto and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 1991 after the successful completion of his course at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. He is a polyglot speaking 4 languages fluently- Arabic, Hausa, English and French.[2]

Career and politics

After graduating, Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi began his career as a lawyer in Nasarawa State.He became a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and also a Founding Partner at Tafida Chambers,(Messrs Hammart & CO.; SOLICITORS/ADVOCATES), Abuja Messrs Hammart & Co, Solicitors & Advocates . He served as Vice President/Executive (Administration & Regulatory), Intercell Tech . Limited, Lagos-Nigeria and Group Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc,(TransCorp) Lagos-Nigeria between 2008-2011.Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi was the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) [1], Nasarawa State (2017-2019). Also, a two-time Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General for Nasarawa State.Until his appointment in 2019 by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve in a Ministerial capacity and Cabinet-Member.[3]

Abdullahi was first appointed minister of state, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology by President Muhammadu Buhari in September 2019 with 35 others when the president made his first appointment.
