Mohammad Javad Kamali Ashtiani (Persian: محمد جواد کمالی آشتیانی; born on 9th Apr 1990 in Ashtian, Iran) is an Iranian Physics Researcher, at Nano Physics and Spintronics Group (NPSG).[1] in Shahid Beheshti University (SBU). Mohammad Javad Kamali is also the speech coach and one of the supervisors of Miniature Talk at Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN)[2]. Kamali Ashtiani is known for his activities in physics and his informative speeches. He teaches the methods of effective presentation for scientific subjects.

Early life and education

Mohammad Javad Kamali was born into a well-educated family in the central part of Iranian. His parents are originally from Markazi province, Ashtian city. He was born on April 9, 1990. He attended the Shahid Zeynali High School and then Alborz Pre-University located at, Ashtian. He enrolled at Tafresh University in 2008, pursuing a degree in physics. He received his B.Sc. degree in 2012 and further studied Solid State Physics, in the Physics Department of Shahid Beheshti University. Currently, He is a junior researcher and leading member of the Nano Physics and Spintronics Group (NPSG) at SBU. He conducts research in area of nano magnetism, spintronics and memristors.

Research

His research interests include magneto dynamics, magnetic coupling, and memristors. He has published several research papers on these topics, including one on "Morphological magnetostatic coupling in spin valves due to anisotropic self-affine interface roughness".[3]

In another project, He obtained experience in magnetotransport measurements and the principles of spintronics. He measured ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic exchange coupling and training effect via magneto transport measurements at high frequencies and also investigation of magneto-optical effects.[4]

Moreover, He was the leader of a project to fabricate Zn-air cells for hearing aids. In this project, He prepared a gas diffusion electrode (GDE), and he probed the effect of anodes and cathodes on the capacitance of the cell. he presented the results of this project as a keynote speaker at The Second National Conference on Laboratory Equipment Technologies in Iran.[5]

Speeches

In 2018, he distinguished himself as one of the most exceptional presenters, ranking in the top 1% among over a thousand participants in the Teribon[6] competition at Sharif University of Technology.

Furthermore, he showcased his expertise by clinching victory in the USERN Miniature Talk Competition in 2018[7], within the social science category, conducted entirely in Persian. His eloquence and proficiency were evident once again at the 5th Congress of USERN in 2020[8], where he was recognized as the best speaker in English presentations.

In USERN's 3rd-anniversary celebration, Mohammad Javad Kamali Ashtiani impressed the audience with his performance in the first Minitheater Talk by having a role in Formal Science[9].

Beyond his accomplishments in competitions, he is recognized as an insightful speaker and a dedicated speech coach. His passion for sharing knowledge extends to his YouTube channel, where he has shared a video titled 'Magnetostatic Coupling in Spin Valves[10]
