Modkiya is a small village of 1460 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Modkiya depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Modkiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Modkiya's pin code is 342301[4], and village code is 01910000.
