Miyuki Ichijō (23 August 1949 - 24 October 2023) was a Japanese voice actress who was widely known in the Japanese anime industry. Ichijō is best known for starring in the Japanese anime Detective Conan, also known as Case Closed, as Jodie Starling.
Ichijō is reported to have died from multiple organ failure. Ichijō has also been known for her many dubs of Western media into Japanese such as but not limited to: Marge Simpsons in The Simpsons, Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Alice Rivens in Home Alone III.
Early Life
Miyuki Ichijō was born in Mizusawa (now known as Oshu), Iwate Prefecture, Japan on August 23, 1949. It is largely unknown to many what Ichijō's early life was like.
Career
Ichijō has been known for her many dubs of Western media as well as her largely successful anime voice acting career, voicing characters in over 116 anime series and films. Her most notable role in the anime industry is as Jodie Starling in the Japanese anime series Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed). Ichijo is known to have worked for the production company Production Baobab.
Personal Life
Miyuki Ichijō has been known to enjoy traveling, visiting art galleries, jazz dancing, tap dancing, and traditional Japanese dancing (Natori Rank in Aoi Style).
