Mithisar is a small village of 736 hectares in Barmer Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mithisar depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mithisar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mithisar's pin code is 344001[4], and village code is 02211900. The area of Mithisar is segregated as 723.16 hectares unirrigated, remaining 13.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.
