Mitharaoo is a small village of 3728 hectares in Chohtan Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mitharaoo depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mitharaoo is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mitharaoo's pin code is 344702[4], and village code is 02251300. The area of Mitharaoo is segregated as 3164.03 hectares unirrigated, the 334.11 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 230.24 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell rope making and make their living.
