Mithanua is a small village of 40.22 hectares in Belthara Road Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mithanua depends on Rasra (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mithanua's pin code is 221716[4], and village code is 09093800. The area of Mithanua is segregated as 32.59 hectares irrigated area, 3.509 hectares unirrigated area. the 2.276 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 1.847 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rasra (MB) and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
