Miss Amara is an Australian-based online retailer specializing in contemporary rugs and home decor. It was established in 2014 by founders Aaron Weller and Alexandra Tanya-Weller.[1] The founders aimed to simplify the online rug purchasing experience, and curate a collection of rugs that combine style, quality, and affordability.

In 2020 Miss Amara purchased shirt business YP Threads from Jake and James Kelder. [2]

Miss Amara was ranked as number 56 in Australian Financial Review’s Fast Starters 2022 list, achieving AUD $20.8 million in FY22, a growth rate over 3 years of 246%, from $8.48 million in FY20.[3]

In FY22 the company turned over AUD $22.9M globally.

Awards and Recognition

In July 2023, Miss Amara won Best Online Retail Marketing Award at the 2023 ORIAs awards.[4]

In 2023 they won Retail Innovators Awards for Customer Experience.[5]
