Lee Min-hyuk (Hangul: 이민혁, born November 3, 1993), better known mononymously as Minhyuk, is a South Korean singer and MC. He debuted in 2015 through Mnet's survival show, No.Mercy in the South Korean boy band Monsta X, under Starship Entertainment.
Career
Early life and debut
Minhyuk was born in the Jongno District of Seoul, South Korea on November 3, 1993.
Beginning in December 2014, he competed in Mnet's survival show, No.Mercy. In the finale of the show, Minhyuk was the final member confirmed to be debuting in Starship Entertainment's new hip-hop boy group, Monsta X.[1]
2015-Present: Monsta X and MC
In 2015, he debuted with Monsta X with their first EP, Trespass. Their first studio album was released in 2017, The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter. Their Japanese debut would follow in 2018 and the group debuted in the U.S. in 2020.
In June 2019 he released a mixtape single, "옹심이" ("Ongshimi"), with a music video released through Starship Entertainment's YouTube page. The single featured fellow groupmate, Joohoney.[2] In October, Minhyuk became an MC for SBS's Inkigayo, alongside Naeun of April and Jaehyun of NCT.[3]
In July 2020 Minhyuk launched Vogue Ship Show on Naver NOW.[4]
