Mikel Abando Arana (born 22 March 1995) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as striker.
Career
Born in Getxo, Basque Country, Abando began his career in the youth academy of Arenas Club de Getxo where he entered the historic Spanish team youth ranks in 2005. He played for 8 years, where he alternated games and tournaments with Bilbao Athletic youth academy teams during several consecutive years, together with the U-16 and U-18 Basque National team. He played his last youth year for Santutxu FC, from which he would be promoted to the first team which played in Tercera División.In August 2017, he signed for Longwood Lancers, which plays in the NCAA Division I, the highest rank in the USA Collegiate system. He played for 4 consecutive seasons between 2016 and 2019, becoming a main pilar of the team for the Lancers and one of the top goal scorers in the programs history.In October 2020 he signed for CD Guadalajara (Spain).[1]
