Mike Reed is an American software engineer, who is known for his work in 2D computer graphics and fonts.[1].
Career
TrueType
While working at Apple, Reed was part of the team who pioneered TrueType[2].
Additionally, he wrote RoyalT, the first TrueType font editor[3].
AlphaMask
Reed was the CEO of AlphaMask prior to its acquisition. AlphaMask made a portable 2D graphics engine: the AlphaMask Graphics Library (AGL)[4]
Google Chapel Hill
Reed started Google's Chapel Hill office location after the acquisition of his company Skia Inc[5][6].
