Michael McAllister (born June 12, 1998) is an American professional football center for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Youngstown State.
Early life and high school
McAllister grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Woodland Hills Junior / Senior High School. In addition to playing high school football, he also became a firefighter in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania starting at the age of 16. He would commit to play college football at Youngstown State University.[1]
College career
McAllister was redshirted during his true freshman season in 2017. During the 2018 season, he played in one game against Valparaiso. During the 2019 season, he played in all 12 games as a reserve offensive lineman and a member of the special teams. During the 2020-21 season, he played in and started all seven games at center. During the 2021 season, he played in and started all 10 games while being in the starting lineup at center for every game. During the 2022 season, he played in and started all 11 games and was graded as one of the top lineman on the team, playing every snap in seven of the games this season.[2] He finished the season with 1,588 rushing yards and was named on the second-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference.[3]

After not being selected in the 2023 NFL draft, McAllister would sign with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent.[5][6] He was waived on August 29, 2023 and re-signed to the practice squad.[7][8] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 15, 2024.[9]
McAllister was waived by the Rams on August 27, 2024, and re-signed to the practice squad.[10]
