Mike Carrigan (born June 22, 1998) is an American football wide receiver for the Tucson Sugar Skulls of the Indoor Football League (IFL). He played college football for Kent State from 2016 to 2019. He also played for the Bismarck Bucks and Quad City Steamwheelers.

High school career

Carrigan attended Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida for his first three seasons of high school football. On varsity, Carrigan compiled 25 receptions for 410 yards and three touchdowns. He also played defense, where he had 36 total tackles and two interceptions.

For his senior season, Carrigan transferred to Amos P. Godby High School where he had 37 receptions for 629 yards and seven touchdowns as well as 17 rushing attempts for 194 yards and a touchdown.

On February 3, 2016, Carrigan committed to Kent State University over an offer from the University of Akron.

Professional career

Bismarck Bucks

2021 season

Carrigan signed his first professional contract with the Bismarck Bucks of the Indoor Football League (IFL) before the 2021 IFL season. In his debut, Carrigan had three catches for 52 yards to help the Bucks beat the Green Bay Blizzard, 41–35. In the Bucks' win against the Northern Arizona Wranglers, Carrigan had three catches for 83 yards and three touchdowns.[1]

Quad City Steamwheelers

2022 season

After a solid rookie season with the Bucks, Carrigan signed with the Quad City Steamwheelers for the 2022 IFL season.

2023 season

On January 17, 2023, it was announced that Carrigan re-signed with the Steamwheelers for the 2023 IFL season.[2]

Tucson Sugar Skulls

2024 season

Before the 2024 IFL season, Carrigan was traded to the Tucson Sugar Skulls in exchange for defensive back Rashie Hodge and defensive lineman Melik Owens.[3]
