Midi Culture (born Sebastian Gheorghe, 3 May 1992) is a Romanian DJ, record producer, and remixer, known for his work in electronic and deep house music.
Career
Midi Culture began producing music in the mid-2010s. His breakthrough came in 2016 with the Midi Culture Remix of Sub pielea mea #Eroina by Moldovan act Carla's Dreams. The remix became one of the most searched songs on Shazam in Eastern Europe, reaching number one in Ukraine and Russia and ranking number 45 globally.[1][2] It accumulated more than 4.8 million Shazams worldwide.[3]
The track was also featured on the French compilation NRJ 300% Hits 2016 Vol.2.[4] Romanian press at the time reported significant international visibility of the remix on Shazam’s global chart.[2]
In 2016, as co-founder and label manager of Epic Tones Records (2013–2019), Midi Culture was featured in the Mixmag Amsterdam Dance Event 2016 print edition, which profiled emerging European electronic labels.[5]
His productions have received support from international DJs including Robin Schulz, Tiësto, Bob Sinclar, and Hardwell, who featured his tracks in their live sets and mixes.[6][7][8][9]
