MicroSelling is a modern, video-based sales methodology designed to optimize efficiency, extend reach and more fully leverage multi-media assets. It started as an idea inside MicroStrategy in March of 2020 as a response to the paradigm shift happening across selling teams at organizations across the world. [1] By April 2020, it's effects were being referenced by the MicroStrategy President and CFO, Phong Le during the Q12020 Earning Call where he stated the company's reps without the need to travel physically were already using video to meet with three or four times the number of customers. In July 2020, MicroStrategy's CEO, Michael Saylor on their Q2 Quarterly Earnings Conference call announced that the methodology had been adopted as a corporate standard and could be quoted saying "You can now fly anywhere at the speed of light and you can bend time and space". Further iterations on the methodology incorporated specialized video technology that made recording and sending short vignettes, pre-meeting introductions and post-meeting follow-ups a simple as sending an email.
