Jason Lee Bruns (born October 3, 1979 in Ohio) is an American jazz drummer and producer who is notable for his work with Beck and Louis Price.

Life and career

Bruns moved from Ohio to Los Angeles in 2003 to earn a Master’s in Jazz Drumming from University of South Carolina. After graduation from USC, he taught music at a private high school in Silicon Valley.[2]

Bruns has been the drummer in the house bands for Beck, Louis Price, Neil Sedaka and Liane Carroll. He has also played on a season 3 Game of Thrones commercial.[2][1] He released his sixth album ‘Cherry Avenue’ with vocalist Kevin Bachelder in October 2015. The album was one of the top 10 charting albums on Los Angeles KKJZ 88.1 FM.[3]

Bruns is the founder of Campbell Hall World Music & Recording Arts Program.[2][4] He also plays percussions instruments from South America, the Caribbean, and West Africa.[5]
