Michelle Charles is an American journalist, photographer, and co-founder of the Studio Stillwater podcast. [1] She is currently the City Editor of the Stillwater (Oklahoma) NewsPress[2] where she primarily covers city/county government, politics, and health care.

Career

Charles has consistently been recognized as one of the top reporters in Oklahoma. She won national acclaim in 2018 for her feature on Myda Lewis.[3] She covered the 2015 Oklahoma State University homecoming parade crash live. [4] And the American Indian Chamber of Commerce named her to the Leadership Native Oklahoma class of 2019.[5]

She is known for her coverage of local news,[6] Native Americans,[7] and women's issues.[8]

Charles has also appeared in the The Cullman Times, Cherokee Tribune Ledger-News, The Moultrie Observer, Washington Times-Herald, Woodward News, and Allied News. [9]
