Michael Vincent Academy, founded in 2013 by Michael Vincent and his wife Tal B Vincent Hajek, is a prominent beauty school. The institution, which is based in Los Angeles, is known for providing both in-person and online beauty courses.[1]
MVA is known for its unique Affiliate Program, which gives students the opportunity to work on A-list projects, top music videos, and has their work published in leading magazines and media sources.[2]
Michael Vincent Academy is accredited and approved by the state of California and the Department of Consumer Affairs and has been recognized as the best beauty school for the past six years. It also won the 2019 Fashion and Beauty Award from the Los Angeles Business Journal.
History
Michael Vincent Academy was founded by celebrity and cinema photographer Michael Vincent along with his wife, Tal B Vincent - former recording artist, TV Show host (MTV and E!), makeup artist, hair stylist, and producer. The founding couple has over 15 years of experience in the entertainment sector and is vastly regarded for their work in the industry.[3]
The Michael Vincent Academy is accredited and approved by the state of California's Department of Consumer Affairs, and it is also affiliated with Temptu Cosmetics and the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), one of the leading associations for salon professionals.
A year after its launch, Michael Vincent Academy began hosting BOB, the Battle of Beauty. An exclusive, cutting edge beauty competition that has featured several prolific media personalities such as Jeffree Star, Kim Kimball, Tamanna Roshan, KD Aubert, Laura Goven, Linda Tawil (owner of Morphe), Erica Dickerson (owner of Beauty Blender), and others.[4]
MVA debuted its online platform for virtual beauty education in 2021. It also launched an Elite Program in the same year, where students can develop a professional portfolio to help them launch their careers. MVA's Affiliate program continues to expand, allowing students to work on set with MVA and MVA Studios and gain significant experience in the entertainment, film, television, music, and fashion sectors.
Since its inception, the academy has organized and been a part of several major events such as the MTV Music Awards, the Grammys, the Oscars, fashion week LA, and so many more. The academy has also given its students the opportunity to work with major celebs and artists like J Balvin, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dog, Cardi B, Beyonce, JZ, and Chris Brown to name a few.

MVA offers a diverse range of beauty industry education courses, including makeup, hair styling, advanced barbering, airbrush, special effects makeup, working on set (MVA's Affiliate Program), portfolio building, microblading, and more.
It is well renowned for its Affiliate program, which prepares students for the fast-paced set environment by teaching them basic set etiquette and professionalism, how to assist the primary artist, how to create and maintain a career, and how to perform effectively under pressure. This program by MVA offers upto 5 on-set opportunities spanning across a diverse range of industries such as like fashion, music videos, film, commercial, editorial, TV, red carpet events and more.
