Michael Spannowsky is a British and German theoretical physicist born in 1980. He is Professor at the University of Durham and the Director of UK's National Centre for Particle Phenomenology.

Education

Michael Spannowsky received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tuebingen in 2004 and his PhD in physics from the University of Munich in 2007.

Career

Spannowsky held Postdoctoral researcher positions at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2009 and the University of Oregon from 2009 to 2011[1]. In 2011, he became an assistant professor at the University of Durham, and in 2017 he became a professor there[2]. In 2020, he was appointed director at the Institute for Particle Physics Phenomenology (IPPP)[3], UK's National Centre for Particle Phenomenology.
