Michael Rainey Jr. (born September 22, 2000) is an American actor best known for his role as Tariq St. Patrick in the TV Series Power on Starz. He is also known for roles in Momentum Pictures' 211 (film) and Netflix's Amateur (2018 film).
Early Life
Michael, son of Michael Rainey Sr. & Shauna Small[1] was born in Louisville, Kentucky before moving to Staten Island, New York. He is of Jamaican descent through his mother.[2]
Career
Rainey's first acting role came in 2010, where he played Charlie in the Italian drama film Un altro mondo. His first main role in the U.S. came in the 2012 film LUV (film),[3] where he starred alongside Common[4] and Dennis Haysbert. Michael Rainey jr. also had a recurring role in the popular Netflix comedy-drama web television series Orange Is the New Black, acting as Michael Burset.[5]
